Context

Tribal is a fintech platform that enables businesses to manage corporate spending and financial operations. The mobile app is a critical surface for users who need fast, reliable access to financial actions while on the go.

This project focused on redesigning the mobile app to:

• Increase mobile engagement
• Support quick, high-intent financial actions
• Improve credit limit utilization driven by mobile usage

Problem (Business + User Opportunity)

While reviewing product analytics in Amplitude, we identified a consistent behavioral pattern across accounts:

• Mobile app usage was significantly lower than expected
• Users who were inactive or dropped key mobile flows consistently showed lower credit utilization
• These same users were still active on desktop, primarily completing planned or recurrent tasks (e.g. bill payments)

This signaled an opportunity rather than a simple usage gap.
