Tribal is a fintech company that helps SMBs in LATAM provide their employees with a credit limit for work expenses. Employees use the mobile app to manage these funds, control cards, and track payments—all in one place.
As the product designer, I was responsible for leading the mobile app redesign, focusing on improving usability and overall experience.
Employees found the app slow and difficult to navigate. Essential actions like payments, card management, and viewing card details were buried within a confusing information architecture, causing frustration and declining engagement. Over time, this impacted key metrics such as NPS and feature adoption.
I started with usability testing and interviews with our internal users. What we learned from the gathered data was the following:
